Temple Square

After almost two weeks at home, JC had to return to Anchorage for work while Zachary and I stayed in Idaho for a couple more weeks. We had to drive JC down to Salt Lake so he could fly out from there. I was nervous to drive back to Idaho by myself with Zachary so I asked my little sister if she would come along. Of course she said yes because she's awesome like that. Little did I know, she sacrificed attending her "End of year party" with her friends from high school to come help me. That's my sister though, always so willing to help others.

Before taking JC to the airport we had scheduled to meet JC's family for a birthday and good bye lunch. It was his Dad's birthday so we thought we'd have everyone come to Salt Lake so JC could say his good bye's AND we could celebrate Dad's birthday.
I asked the waitress if she would come sing Happy Birthday to Dad. She did one better and had half the staff come sing as well. He didn't want it but if you know me I'm all for birthday singing when it's not me being sung to! :)

After lunch JC was anxious to get to the airport so as to not miss his flight. We said our tear filled goodbyes and headed for the airport.

After getting JC off, Jamie and I headed for Temple Square. While there we got some good pictures of some of my favorite things at Temple Square.
Statue of the Prophet Joseph Smith, located inside the Joseph Smithe Memorial building.

This is the bench where my in-laws were sitting during family pictures (the year prior) getting "grandparent pictures" taken with JC's nieces when we announced with a pink and blue balloon that we were pregnant.

Zachary and I in front of the Christus statue in the temple visitor center. I have always loved this room as the spirit is very strong here and I am reminded of the love my elder brother Jesus Christ has for me.

After Temple Square we went and did a little shopping. First though, I wanted to take Jamie somewhere as a surprise.
Standing outside of the Hatch Family Chocolates shop from TLC's "Little Chocolatiers"!! I love that show and when I heard they were in Salt Lake I put it on my list as one of the places to have to visit while home.

Afterward we stopped at a few more places to shop, got dinner, and headed back to Idaho Falls. Thanks again Jamie for coming. I had a blast!!
