Family and Fireworks!!

I LOVE the 4th of July!! This year JC had to work so we stayed here in Logan. Logan City does their fireworks the night of the 3rd so as to not compete with the Salt Lake City and Provo firework shows. JC's sister Sara came up to Logan to watch the fireworks with us. The fireworks are shot off from the University's football stadium which is right across the parking lot from Aggie Village. While we waited for the show to begin we ate popcorn and drank sparkling pear cider. Growing up in Idaho Falls, I thought they were the only ones that did an amazing firework show. Logan's fireworks were pretty comparable though. They had some GREAT fireworks!! After the firworks were all shot off we walked the 12 steps to our front door to realize that I had left our keys on the kitchen table, while pulling and locked door shut behind me. We're not suppose to do it but we ended up popping out a screen from one of the bedroom windows and JC's sister Sara got in and was able to unlock the front door. We just laughed as people walked by and whispered, "Someone is breaking into their own house".
As for the actual 4th, JC and I spent the day together watching movies and eating hamburgers and cheesecake to celebrate. At home, growing up, we always did alot throughout the day including the city parade, BBQ's, and fireworks that night. It was deffinately different just hanging out at home. But it was great to get to just hang out with my husband since I've been gone the last couple months.
Hope everyone had a great day whatever you did!!
