I love being an Aunt!!

While I was back home in Idaho Falls I got to spend time with my little nephews. I told them I would take them camping one weekend. When Friday came around the wind was blowing really hard and it was cold. Instead of giving up, we set up came in Dad's shop in the backyard. We pulled the metal fire pit out and did a few s'mores and then went to our tent. The tent was so small that Jamie, the boys, and I were literally elbow to elbow. If anyone wanted to turn on their side we all had to turn on our side--together. Jamie and I laughed about it. We were out there for a short time when we heard noises outside. When Dawson suggested we go inside, I complied. We continued our "camping trip" inside on Grandma Sherri's living room floor.


















Also while at home I had many more opportunities to spend time with my nephews. One night they were over at my parent's house and we were outside. All the sudden we heard the ice cream truck nearby in my parents neighborhood. The little boys waited FOREVER, very patiently, for the ice cream truck to come down Grandpa and Grandmas street. They wouldn't leave the front porch for fear the truck would come while they were away. Hence, I fed them dinner on the front porch. After a very long time of waiting we could still hear the music but no ice cream truck. I finally got in my car and went to track down this ice cream truck. I found the truck and asked the driver if they were planning on going down our street and that 3 little people were waiting very patiently for them. In a short amount of time the ice cream truck was coming down Grandpa and Grandma's street. To make it worth their trouble, I bought enough to triple their sales for the evening.
