Last night I attended my institute class and then headed for the parking garage. I went to pull out of my stall and as I was pulling out I looked over my right shoulder to see the cement barrier reminding me that I had parked on the second level. I hurried and turned my steering wheele the opposite way so as to back out in the opposite direction. Nanoseconds later I heard one of the most horific noises and slammed on my breaks!! It was almost as if a doberman pincher had barked right next to my ear. I turned in horror to see what it was! After I had turned my steering wheel the opposite way I had backed into the direction of a cement column and swiped my driver door against it, crunching and popping off my mirror. I pulled the car back into the stall and got out, with a huge pit in my stomach, to see what damage I had done and pick up the pieces of the broken mirror case. After all the pieces were picked up I got back in my car and just sat there like I had woken up from a nightmare.
Later that night I drove to LOWE's and showed my "boo boo" to JC. He didn't have a lot to say as he stared at the car door like a little boy who had been told his dog just died.
Today we are getting estimates for insurance purposes.
The moral of the story is, DON'T PARK IN PARKING GARAGES!!

I've lost a few mirrors in my day as well!:(
OOUUCH!! I am afraid that the propensity to scrape mirrors and doors off came to you honestly. Unless, of course, Aubrey would like to step forth and take some of the blame.:)
I think that your car needs some ibuprofen, it might have a little bit of a side ache. I hate when things like that happen. Good luck.
